Amazing Art

Last term with Mrs. Viljoen, Room 19 studied the art of artist Georgia O'keefe and her distinctive way of drawing and painting flowers. Naturally, the curious and talented Room 19 sought to recreate some of these paintings. Here are the results:

Room 19's own Art Gallery!
The art has taken up most of one wall inside our classroom! Room 19 are proud of each and every work, and are learning to appreciate the display of art.

Watersports Recount Writing

Finally, the long-awaited Watersports Recount Writing has been published and is up on our blog for your reading pleasure.

See below our wondrous recounts about the day we had watery warfare out on the senior field!

These are some examples of the recount writing we produced during Term 1. We hope you like them!
This term, Room 19 has been writing recounts about things that we have personally participated in. Students have swam, had professional team sport coaching, a school Water Sports Day, as well as classroom team building challenges.

One recount writing piece was based on our Water Sports Day. This was an unforgettable experience for everyone who took part! All the children from Room 19 and Room 24 joined forces to be the GREEN TEAM, and prepared themselves for watery warfare!. The students all come up with a team cheers that they used to encourage themselves, and to drown out the fierce competition from RED, BLUE, and YELLOW.

Check out some of the action from the day!

Stay tuned in to view our published writing!
